how can i fix a ravenheat combi boiler?

can you help? my ravenheat combi boiler wont keep its pressure, been told its a big job by a plumber it will cost about £500. then ive been told if i get a exspansion vessel kit and fix it ourselves, it will do the trick.is that right, and is it easy.i hav'nt got any paper work with it and i dont know model number can you help please.

ouch, before you do that check for leaks, everywhere, radiators pipework o and outside from a little copper pipe sticking out of the wall. hopefully its on one of those an should involve very little work an alot of saved cash!!
