Mend Sony Ericsson W980 Pressed Power Morning

how can i fix my sony ericsson w980?

I turned off my phone before i went to bed. when I pressed the power on button in the morning the keypad lit up but stayed lit up and the screen was blank.
I tried a new battery but that didn't work.
Any ideas?

same thing happened to me, but my phone was on then automatically turned itself off one morning, then i come to turn it back on and the buttons are lit but no apperance of the screen? why is this?
i have only had the phone for abour 6 months :S

got the same problem too.. i just format the phone using SE update manager on the computer and then its ok..
