rds 4500 cd has error code R85?

Hi Jackie, the error code is "load/unload error" the Ford manual says to remove the power connector from the radio for 30 seconds (will need security code) or you could remove the two fuses for the radio (memory and normal supply) for the same time, then refit connector or fuses and after entering security code try again if the same code the manual says replace the radio, there was a guy on ebay repairing this fault by fitting a better quality load/eject mechanism
