How do I fit the gasket to a new baumatic fridge door?

The old door was broken so I ordered a replacement. It fits but it came without the gasket (you would think they would tell you. but no). Now I have the gasket and I have been re-assured that it is the right part. It has no screws so it should just slot into the groove on the door. I don't see how it can be possible, unless I am really not looking at the task in the right way. I can show you photos of the 2 parts if necessary. Thanks for the help.
