Mend Renault Kangoo Trekka Starting Problem

Renault Kangoo wont' start?

I have a kangoo trekka, all great untill yesterday, alternator belt failed and engine died; fitted new belt but engine turns over and sounds like there is no compression, took oil cap off and can see cam turning, no oil drips, small ammount of water loss over the last few weeks, ant ideas anyone?
