Loud sound when I use "carpet" setting (like when you get fringe caught)?
How do I fix my Dyson? I can't use the carpet setting because the loud noise that happens when you run over fringe happens all the time. I think something's stuck inside; I've already taken as much apart as I can. There's got to be something inside making that horrible noise. Please HELP!! I have the green/purple top of the line (?) Dyson vacuum ( 2 years old). I live in Chicago.
I had the same problem with noise and the brush would not turn. I called dyson's customer helpline at 1-866-693-9766. They were very helpful and walked me through step be step re seating the brush bar which took care of the problem. Sounds like the clutch mechanism is faulty.
