Creda Excel - No Heat - Model T602CW?

Hi,

Could anyone please advise me how i can fix a heating problem on my Creda Excel tumble dryer condensor - the model number is t602cw.
I Have no knowledge if the thermostat has developed any problems which is why it is not working.
Please also could anyone advise me on where the best places are to buy spare parts for the above.

Thankyou for all your help

Kind Regards Daren

It sounds like the thermostat's bust.
Easy job to fix.
You will need to buy a thermostat kit (you should be able to find an outlet in the yellow pages) the number of the part you require is 1701583.
Unplug the machine. Take off back panel and you will see the two thermostat components.
Take note that one of the components has a green dot on it.
Replace the two components.
Replace back panel.
Finished.
PS In Edinburgh the thermostat kit cost me £27.

You possibly have a stuck floatswitch my friend.
remove power.
Remove the r/h side panel to reveal the motor.
Just behind the motor there is a beige box with a microswitch attatched.
Give this switch some exercise(switch it!) and it'll be fine.
if you move the drum round you'll find you can get your hand in easier.
avoid this problem by emptying water on every use.

Similar problem - the on buttoon would not stay on or stayed on for just a few minutes then would not stay on when pushed again. From this web site I suspected the relay- took it out (remembering to note connections) got it tested at work - coil had gone but no indication from looking at it. A Schrack rm505730 - available from Farnell or RS components - the latter cost me #7.30. Easy to change although tricky screws to get in - lay machine on side helps.

I had the same problem. I changed both thermostats at the rear including the heater element. Still didn't heat up. Then I changed the timer unit. Works fine now.

I got all my parts from WWW.EZEE-FIX.CO.UK. The parts are quite cheap. Give them a call just to make sure that you are ordering the correct part(s).
