How do I TAKE THE IRONING PLATE OFF my Rowenta DX8800?

I removed the screws from my Rowenta DX8800. I ALSO REMOVED THE BOTTOM (OR BACK) PLASTIC RESTING PLATE.
And then I removed the Power cord.
Now I want to disassemble the rest of the iron.
It's leaking and I want to fix it.
I noticed there is some black sticky sealer stuff around the back side of the tank. This may have not been affixed properly. I want to take it apart and look around the tank and make sure the sealer is applied correctly.
HOW DO I TAKE THE IRONING PLATE OFF?
