How do I fix my washing machine, it won't start wash cycle?

My Bosch Maxx Classic front loading washing machine won't start its wash cycle. The lights are on and change to indicate start of wash cycle but nothing happens. The door will not lock either which it normally does at this stage. Is this an easy repair?
