Is my fridge worth fixing?

i have a 12v chest freezer 288l with a 3-pole compressor, the inverter is missing and all i know it was a variable speed 12v (3-phase dc brushless compressor) + controler with a thermostate connection.
i cannot find one in south africa , because the model is
not sold over here.
1.can i import one universal inverter controler ?
2.can i not change the fridge to a 220v supply using
two ac transformers ?
