Mend Turn Time Opened

Beeping sound from register?

If I turn the key of our register it makes. Tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeee. The whole time. Whe opened the register and there is a little wire that is hanging loos. Do not know where it came loose. Can you please send me some pictures or example of how it is suppose to look inside the thing.

Forget the wire- it probably has nothing to do with it. Most machines will scream when the key has been turned to the wrong position. Try the key in other modes and see if it stops the noise in any other mode (apart from OFF mode). If it stops, then you haven't finished in that mode. You must finish first, then turn key back to REG. If you can't sort it out, let me know the brand and model, and I'll try to help further
