Mend Grudig DVDR550 Repair Power Fuse

How can I repair my Grudig DVD recorder.DVDR550 which has no power?

My Grudig recorder lost power and was repaired allegedly with a new power unit. It has now gone dead again (outside the guarantee). Power reaches the unit but it is dead. no lights etc. Is there a fuse inside the unit? If the power unit goes down again is it worth repairing considering the present price of a new one? The model is DVDR550

I know this is not helping but i have just bought the grundig dvdr550 with no user instructions.Do you know where i could pick one up or have you still got yours,if so, would you kindly E-Mail me the relevant pages for recording etc.
It would be a big help if you could kindly do this for me,i have looked all over the net with no result.
