Renault Scienc 04 - New Dashboard today, zero mileage counter?

Just had dashboard replaced today, paid the £100.00 but not happy has mileage counter is back to zero. Can anyone tell me how they can get the original mileage put back on. I have raised the question with Renault dealer and customer services and apparently it is such a common fault that their is loads of scienc drivers out there with mileage counters stating little or no mileage and a service history with true mileage. What a shambles. Is anyone else not happy with this.
