Have a mountfield hp470 starts well you pull the cord but then stops after about 3 -4 secs and have to reprime.Does it have a blocked petrol filter or some other problem aadvice gratfully received

If the fuel tank is under the carburettor, and the carb is held on by 5 screws....you need the diaphragm and gasket kit that fits between the carb and the tank. Helps with the fuel pumping.
