unit will not charge up, been on charge for hours, just get empty battery sign, do i need a new battery and where do i take it to get it fixed

You can buy battery on ebay for $10.- and replace yourself. You need a 6mm torx driver to open case (4 screws under rubber buffers) and unscrew pcb. battery is located inside alloy body under the pcb.
