I'VE HAD ONE OF THESE FOR 4 YRS - IT CAN WORK FOR MONTHS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM THEN WITHOUT WARNING IT GOES THROUGH THE IGNITION CYCLE, THE BURNER FIRES BUT IT CLICKS OFF IMMEDIATELY. IT WILL DO THIS FOR 3 OR 4 CYCLES THEN LOCKS OUT. THE ORANGE LIGHT - SINGLE FLASH. LEAVE IT FOR SEVERAL HOURS AND IT CAN FIRE UP WHEN I RESET IT. BRITISH GAS HAVE RENEWED LOADS OF BITS, PCB, AIR SWITCH ETC ETC...AND ARE NOW AT A LOSS RESORTING TO SUGGESTING I NEED A POWER FLUSH (£700) OR THE A NEW GAS SUPPLY PIPE....IT'S BURIED UNDER CERAMIC TILES! WHEN IT WORKS I CAN SWITCH ON GAS FIRES AND NO IMPACT SO I AM RELUCTANT TO ACCEPT I NEED NEW SUPPLY PIPE. CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE. THANKS IN ADVANCE
I had a very similar problem and needlessly replaced many parts. In the end the problem proved to be the ignition electrodes. There are three with red wires. The engineer removed these scraped them off and checked them and - BINGO - no more problems!! So check these leads and the electrodes very carefully.
