loss of power jcb 3cx?

i have changed the filter pump,cleaned all tanks and mine stil looses power... now they suggest that the friction plates in the gearbox should be removed.

hi steve, did you get to the bottom of the loss of power on your 3cx? i have the same problem, same year machine, tried everything spent a fortune on it.???

take your lifter pump out and were the inlet gos there is a 28 mill scrow take that out and there will be a gaurs take it out and clean it i tryed everythink like you and that was my problem good look

little gauze in side of lift pump! i have to take it out every 2wk, wash in fairy until clear then replace, cant even buy new ones? very annoying, old models use to run on dirty diesel, but, am afraid these new things need max fuel flow when used on road....

if is is a turbo there is a boost diaghram on the inj pump fill the fuel tank up run it for 20-30 min see if the the fuel tank gains pressure if so th diaphram is split see dave massey at f2977 dot fsnet dot co dot uk

hi there on my last job i was driving a komatsu wheeldigger for a local farmer who himself has 10 years experience as a plant fitter and whos brother works for hm plant as a fitter. i had a problem with the machine where when it had been working for half an hour or enough to get the oil hot, it would stall if any of the hydraulic services were held on, even for a split second, and whenever i had to travel the power would die away. it was almost as if there was a length of rope wrapped around the driveshaft! we had komatsu fitters out to look at the machine and adjust the relief valve but this didnt really help and as it was out of warranty they really werent that interested. eventually we all came to the conclusion that it was more likely than not, to be a problem with the hydraulic pump as we had ruled out every other possibility. i hope this helps.
