yes you can. it is most likely to be the thermostats. you can buy them of ebay for 6 - 8 pounds or they are nearly 18pounds from hotpoint. it is easy to do, they should be located at the back of the machine behind a pannel that sticks out. you do not need to take the whole back off. the thermostats are push fit connections.
