How do I fix my camcorder, canon, mv700?

How do I fix my camcorder, canon, mv700. When its in record mode the screen is black but the audio is there.

Apparently Canon have acknowledged a lot of people had this same problem with that model of camcorder and they were offering to repair it free of charge. It's the wires behind the lens that have become faulty. It's best to ring Canon and ask if they still repair this particular model for free. Hope this helps.
