Washing machine stop working?

hi just bought a ZANUSSI ZWF1221W did one wash everything went find, got up this morning and every time i turn the dial to what programme i wont the start/pause light keeps flashing.........and thats it! nothing other than that the washing machine just wont start up!! i`ve read the manual to no joy, any ideas? thanks in advance

First thing you need to do is tell us what make & model of machine you have.

I guess your washing is still in there as well. Since you don't say what kind of machine you have it complicates things slightly but follow this general fix.
Have your user manual on hand. Open the flap at the bottom front - find the emergency drain hose & empty the water into a bucket or similar - activate the emergency door release (either a white plastic screw type or pull ring) - door opens, retrieve washing - open filter & check for foreign objects in there. If you find a blockage fine, if you don't suspect either a blocked sump hose or defective pump. Good luck
