Mend Kirby G6 Vacuum Carpet Repair

kirby g6 wheels won't spin?

I took the front piece off and can't figure out what to do with the belt. The belt either is loose or it hoocked on but so tight the spin thing does not make it all the way to the red. I just want to vacuum the carpet without having to take it out for service for this same problem. Please help
