This was kindly re-posted by Martyn when he found the fault. However below this is access to the Thetford free pdf repair downloads. If it's not on the pdfs on page 3 you can send a question to thetford using their on line form.
This is Martyn's.
I'm answering it my self just in case anyone else has the same problem.
1)Take the cassette out and unscrewed the actual toilet it's self from inside where the cassette is fitted.
2) take the little cap from the top of the flush off with a small flat screwdriver and using a long Philips screwdriver unscrewed the flush it's self and removed the items carefully putting them on one side.
3) Empty out the toilet by pulling out the water pipe where the cassette fits and then remove the whole toilet.
4) turn the toilet upside down and unscrew the 4 screws underneath the flush compartment.
5) Unscrew the fuse.
6) you can now see a long spring loaded arm that is pushed down when the flush is used, turn this to one side and you will see 2 brown wires attached to a small switch. This is where the problem is, when you look at it you see that it will be fused together with some green gunk.
7) you can try and free it but if it breaks ( as mine did) you can order a switch for a thetford cassette toilet online for around £15 delivered.
It all sounds complicated but it is really simple.
