Do you keep Handbrake on when changing brake pads ? ?

Do you keep the handbrake on when changing rear brake pads ? it is a 1.6 renault megane 56 plate

Renault Renault Megane Vehicles, Cars Handbrake Brake Pads

Depends whether your changing front or back? Front, does not matter. Back, if pads fitted on back, then you need handbrake off.

You won't get the pads out if you do! Don't forget, the piston has to be turned as it is pressed back in.
