Mend Magnavox MWR10D6 Dvd Recorder Records

How can I fix my magnavox mwr10d6?

My dvd recorder still records, but now it won't let me finalize. In the set-up menu where is says "Disc Edit" the option isn't lit up to choose it. Could it be the discs I'm using? I have been using them for a while now and they always finalized before. I am using the TDK dvd + r 16x.
