The Idler Pulley broke and I had to replace it. Since the belt was not in place when I disassembled the dryer I was unable to determine which side of the belt was against the tub.
There is a flat smooth side and a ribbed side which I assumed would go on the motor pulley with the ribbed side against the motor pulley.
I am also assuming that the belt would have to fit somewhere close to the center of the tub which would put the belt at the same approximate position as the pulley on the motor.
