steering lock jammed and key not working?

A broke down in berwick, I have a renault meganne authentique on a 52 plate. i was towed back home but cannot get a new key card because i need the immobiliser code from renault dealer, suprise, suprise. to get the code i have to get my car to the dealer but, cannot do so because the steering lock is on and will not release without the key card in the slot and the ignition working.
my question is, can i release the steering lock in any way which will allow me to straighten and steer the wheels and get the car towed to the garage then to the locksmiths, as i don't want have to spend £150 on being towed half way around the north east with the front wheels raised off the ground. Also is there any other way of getting the immobiliser code without having to go to the dealers, as they are modern day dick turpins. regards steve.
