Clio 172 Buzzing noise?

I have just bought a 2002 Cliosport 172 and there is a buzzing noise coming from the interior reading light area. I have taken the case off which hold the lights in and there is a motor in there which makes the noise i can hear. Is this a standard noise or is there a way of stopping it.
