creda hob/plates/timer/clock not working, oven works?

creda c367e model, the timer/clock is not on so the hob/plates do not work, the oven works fine, and the twin grill, have switched the mains off for 30 mins and when switched back on the neon lights are lit, yet no knobs are turned on and still the hob/plates do not work. If I turn the twin grill knob just slightly, the clock shows but the minute I switch it off or try and put a plate on the display goes blank, can anyone help please
