Scantronic 9800 Alarm Zone A problem?

Hi

I have the above alarm keypad. Problem is when I set zone A the usual beeping comes on and after 30 seconds it should set the alarm for the whole house. Instead after 30 seconds it doesnt stop beeping and sets the whole alarm off. Options B and C work fine. Any ideas? I have the full installation manual but it doesn't show how to reprogram Option A.
