Your machine has both an ON OFF switch and Pressure Switch. Once the electric passes through the fuse and down the wire the two switches can stop it from energising the motor....Unless you motor coil is burnt out ! The only other item is the Capacitor (often a white plastic cylinder connected to the electrics with 2 wires) If the capacitor is broke then the motor should try and run but just buzz or hummm not be totally dead.
