how can i fix my Goodmans x-pro 42" plasma gtv42p3?

I have had this model for around 4 yrs. Just recently the screen has gone white. You can here the programme in the background but i have no picture.
Can it be repaired? Is it a job for the proffessionals and is it expensive to do or get done?
