weed wacker not spinning?

Check that the engine hasn't come loose from the long shaft...likewise the angled gearbox at the end. If these move, the drive rod that goes down the centre of the long shaft disengages. Otherwise, the drive rod itself could have snapped or the gears in the angled end could have failed.
