how do i enter ford 5000 radio code?

once you have entered the code as described push button 5 that stores the code

thanks jp, i tried that but the screen just says code _ _ _ _, would there be anything else i can try, the screen went on my ford 4000 and i got this 5000 off ebay, i would be gratfull for any further help,

4-digit code

Example - 2 6 5 3

To enter the 1st digit, in this case "2" you press the button labelled '1' two times.

Each press of button will increase the number on screen by 1, until it gets back to the start.

So
press 1 - twice to enter 2
press 2 - six times to enter 6
press 3 - five times to enter 5
press 4 - four times to enter 4

then press select i believe.
