My Bosch 1401 Washing machine refuses to empty unless syphon p?

I experienced the same problem periodically with my previous washing machine. I could never find anything plugged up. I found that removing the hose from my wall, slightly adjusting/turning the hose where it connects to the washing machine, then letting the hose drain into a large bucket for a few seconds always fixed the problem.
