my husband accently put my mobile in the washing machine on sunday now the screen is free from water but it wont turn on

i've had the same problem i dont no how to fix it i took the battery nd sim out straight away blow dried it this morning and now its in rice. it wont turn on im sooooo worriedd i got it for my birthday :S please hellpp ! x
