Mend Mountfield SV150 Cleaned Carb Fuel Spark Plug

Mountfield sv150?

I have cleaned out Carb and jets etc, there is a fuel supply and a spark at plug, I have tried with tank cap on and off but all I get is a half hearted run for a few seconds after pulling starter cord and then no proper running
Any thoughts please?

Check the connection between the throttle cable linkage and the throtle butterfly (not the choke butterfly) this is prone to breaking and the throttle butterfly remains closed stopping the petrol supply
