my singer sewing machine wont pick up thread from the bobbin?

You did not say what Featherweight you had, if you have the 221 or 222 remember the flat side of the needle faces left other wise it will not pick up the thread, make sure you have a good needle in, the slightest bend will cause missed stitches, if you have checked everything then you may ned to retime it which is unusual, you can email me for timing instructions but because this site no longer allows email addresses to be shown you will have to type my email address in as you say it not as you read it.
