Mend Clock Time Hand

big hand keeps dropping back to twenty minutes to the hour?

My new battery clock works fine until it gets to nearly quarter to the hour but then the big hand drops back to twenty minutes to the hour. The small hand and the second hand is working fine.

Pam, check to see if the hand nut is on tight. You may have to pull the second hand off, just pull upward on it as the clock is laying on its back. Then see if you can tighten the hand nut that holds the hand on the center shaft. If you have a local clock shop nearby they should be able to check this for free.
