Mend Hotpoint TC71P Tumble Thermostats

How can I fix Hotpoint TC71P?

i've located the two thermostats. On mine they are parallel- one on the left and one on the right- i have ordered two new ones, and apparantly one has a green spot on it- does this go on the right or the left? Of the ones i'll be replacing the one on the left has a red spot on it. Any ideas?
