There's a crack in the back of my vitreous china toilet cistern. How can I seal it please? Replacing it will mean buying an entire new toilet set and a matching bath, so I'd prefer to seal the leak. Thank you.
Most people wouldn't recommend it but you might just get away with emptying the cistern, drying it thoroughly with a hair dryer, and applying a layer of Araldite adhesive over the crack. You'll need to leave it at least 24 hours to set though.
