will a 5 door megane window regulator fit on a 3 door model?

i have an 04 meagne II and believe i have the dreaded window regulator fault! am looking for a second hand one and want to know if you can repair them, or if a 5 door part is the same as the 3 door part? as they are easier to get hold of second hand!! thanks
