Mend Renault Megane 2002

How can i fix my renault megane 2002 new shape electric windows?

Both Passenger and driver's side has failed in the last 6 months. Went down and never came back up. Been propped up for security but hoe can I fix without shelling out £650 as quoted by Renault??

Hi Emma - the chances are it's the window regulator clip. Renault are trying to sell you the entire window regultor; the same thing happened to my wifes Scenic. It's a piece of moulded plastic about 2 inches square. If you search google/ebay for "Megane/Scenic Window Regulator Clip" you'll find uprated ones for sale for about £10 - £15 a pair. Unless you feel confident about stripping down car door mouldings & fittings, you'll need to visit a local, friendly, bodyshop. It cost me about £50 all-in, which is a damn sight cheaper than the £250 Renault wanted

Hi Emma, unfortunately the windows are controlled by the "body electronics timer unit" hence the cost!!
