HOW TO FIX REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING?

Look in the owners hand book for instructions on key re-sync. and battery change.
On older models you just put the key in the ignition, turn it til the dash lights come on then press the lock button on the key. The doors should lock then unlock. You might have to press and hold the button a few times for it to work. I believe it's the same on yours, wont do any harm if not.
I think it's just a watch type little round battery in the remote (cr2032?) I got mine in tesco.
Have you tried the spare key?

Try replacing the battery in the fob. You can get cheap ones on ebay. The alarm that sounds when you open the door is a safety feature it usually sounds when you open the door with the keys in the ignition. Alot of old astras only locked the drivers door with the key. Best thing to do is get the remote fixed either new battery or needs reprogramming. Try battery first.
