Sealed unit Replace it they are available from Black and decker service centre. Be careful taking handle apart. you do not want to break the little axle that the switch arm fits over. If you break it off you have to replace it with a small bolt or replace the entire unit including the wiring down to the motor. If your machine is older like mine they only sell the replacement kit for it

It can be replaced if you can get a new switch, but often the fault turns out to be a break in the orange cable, due to its constantly flexing.
