how do you operate a samsung er290 cash register we down loaded the manual ?

we have this samsung er290 cash register bought off ebay we have downloaded the operating manual we dont want to use the plu bits just to use as a basic till we are struggling to restore the factory settings do you think you can help us please we are pulling our hair out
