Mend Leisure 2100 SI Gas Ignition Burners

ignition fails?

spark fails to light the gas, some of the time on my canon cooker. The cooker is a Leisure 2100 SI ,if I take the little plates off the top of the burners the gas lights, put them back, the don t work .
