How can I fix my EGR Valve on my vauxha vectra 3.0 V6 53reg?

just done mine you will need a new one,cleaning them out does not last for long cost around £130.

What fault code(s) were present?
Just because the code reader says EGR doesn't mean the EGR is definitely faulty, splits in the vacuum or air hoses, sticky manifold butterflies, faulty MAF etc can all cause this code.
Didn't the tech who did the test make any suggestions or do other tests? Did he use live data to monitor the valve and force it to actuate? Did he check the air flow meter? I hope you didn't pay much.
Check all vac and air hoses, make sure all plugs are properly located.
The EGR is easy enough to remove and either clean or renew, use a new gasket when refitting, but theres no guarantee that will solve the problem.
