Mend Lack Power Car

lack of power in my car?

On acceleration it feels that the car is holding back. But once i hit 3k revs when injection kicks in it just launches why, what could that be the cause of. Also the car now and then has a slight kink/missfire whilst driving?
Can any one help. i am useless with cars
