how to change gear knobs?

The Knob is just pushed on so give it a good hard twist and pull up but be careful not to lose the spring that flies out as this is what make to collar for engaging reverse spring back down. Then the replacement must just be pushed on hard with the spring back in place inside it or if fitting an aftermarket item it may have small grub screws to hold it in place.
