My dyson refused to go. Have taken out the switch mechanism ,wiring looks fine, switch appears to click on/off but dyson him no go! (I have checked the fuse). Are there any other checks to wiring/switch that I can do before seeking a replacement switch ,please.
Having taken the switch out it would be good to test it for on/off continuity with a meter, buzzer or a lamp and if you can do this you can test the cable too. Be suspicious of the cable integrity at the extreme ends - persistent tugging by an over enthusiastic operator can sometimes snap an internal conductor in the power cord.
